PEMCAS CEO Speaks at Power and Energy Conference in Limerick

The 4th Power and Energy Conference took place in Limerick on 26th November, bringing together industry leaders and innovators to explore opportunities for delivering energy security and sustainable economic development. The event focused on connecting the partnerships required to deliver a secure, diversified energy system for Ireland's future.

Our CEO, Ed Murnane, participated in a panel discussion on what is required to grow and decarbonise the region's economy.

Key Takeaways:

Ed emphasised that a constant, relentless focus is needed from all stakeholders to harness the potential of the Shannon Estuary and drive down energy costs, ensuring Ireland remains competitive in a globalised economy. He highlighted the need for brave leadership to enact the legislative changes required to accelerate and de-risk the permitting process for large infrastructure projects, a critical factor in enabling the timely delivery of essential energy infrastructure.

The discussion reinforced PEMCAS's commitment to supporting Ireland's energy transition through integrated engineering solutions that balance sustainability, efficiency, and economic viability.

Many thanks to David Keniry for the invitation, and to panellists Patrick Calnan, Barry O'Sullivan, and Jerry Hallissey for the engaging conversation.
