Dew Valley Foods is an advanced, added-value, cooked bacon processing facility, located in Thurles, Co Tipperary.

Cooked Bacon Manufacturing Facility

The Client

In preparation for an increase in business, they pursued an ambitious expansion plan to increase capacity by 80 percent over a ten-year period. They also wanted to identify efficiencies, reduce costs and increase sustainability.

How PEMCAS Delivered

After close consultation and assessment, two projects were recommended: a significant factory expansion and a customer visitor centre. We also used our 3D modelling software to identify opportunities for efficiency in the existing factory.

We oversaw a smooth compliance process, obtaining all relevant permits and licences, a substantial task for a large project in the food production sector.

The new factory facility and visitor centre have been a commercial success for Dew Valley, and have resulted in substantial reductions in water consumption, kerosene usage and waste to landfill, while helping to create jobs.
