PEMCAS is a multidisciplinary engineering firm delivering complex industrial and regulated projects across Ireland and internationally. Established in 1995, we work across various sectors, including pharmaceuticals and life sciences, food and beverage, distilleries, data centres, renewables, education, and manufacturing.

We are seeking an Architectural Technologist to join our Civil, Structural and Architectural (CSA) team in Limerick. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to large-scale projects while developing your technical and professional expertise within a collaborative, learning-focused environment.

The Role

Reporting to the CSA Director, the Architectural Technologist will be a key member of the CSA Team. He/she will have notable design and technical experience in addition to the ability to communicate and engage with stakeholders, at all levels as required. With the ability to support the end-to-end project deliverables at all stages, the Architectural Technologist will be integral to the delivery of high valued projects for our clients. The post-holder will be highly motivated to succeed in a dynamic, fast paced environment. A strong interest and curiosity in all aspects of the construction industry is expected. A key part of the role is the need to prioritise and to successfully deliver compliant building facilities. In addition to working as part of a high-performance team, the Architectural Technologist will hold responsibility for effectively supporting the wider CSA Team to ensure that expectations are met, relationships are maintained and interests are upheld.

Candidate Required Experience/Skills:

  • Hold a qualification in Architectural Technology with 5+ years of post-qualification experience.
  • Proficiency is preferred in the following areas – BIM level 2, Autodesk Revit, Navisworks & AutoCAD.
  • Proficient in the preparation and lodgement of Planning Permissions, Fire Safety Certificates and Disability Access Certificates.
  • Proficient in the preparation of tender/construction drawings & specifications.
  • Experience as a lead designer, liaising with clients/contractors and conducting site inspections throughout all stages of the project.
  • Snagging and certification of completed works.
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of Irish Building Regulations and Design Standards, including BC(A)R.
  • Good technical knowledge of building processes and construction details.
  • Support and mentor junior technologists/graduates.
  • Excellent attention to detail is required.
